About Ready to Yarn

The Full Story

Ready to Yarn: Mental Health Therapy, Social Work, Counselling and Community Development offering support in Mount Isa and North West Queeensland. Support for those finding it tough getting through difficult situations – it may be mental health, past trauma or ongoing dramas. In all of these situations people may need engagement with a service such as this, not just to find the way through, but to experience healing.

Jonathan McClelland opened the Ready to Yarn service in recognition that existing services don’t always have the answers. There are cracks people can fall through, and what is often needed is consistent, supportive counselling with a therapist able to show recognition, and able to work in partnership with them on their unique journey.

Mission

“Ready to Yarn exists to discover the essence of courage hidden within each of us. We set out in partnership together, to uncover paths not yet walked and the hopes not yet spoken”.
